thats as far as keeping him on the roster this season with their cap constraints. since he's on a 2 way the warriors would hold his rights as a restricted free agent after the season if they choose to give him a qualifying offer. theyre not destined to lose him, theyll just have to send him down to the g league after his 45 day limit.
He'll only be effective (on offense) once Steph/Draymond come back, as he's incapable of doing it by himself, especially on a squad with so much inexperience. Similar applies to his defense, since he can't anchor that side of the floor, he needs Draymond for that, and he can simply be a deterrent with his length.This WCS experiment ain't looking too good.
