If they were simply protesting with signs then you would have a point. When you break into a government building, assault government employees, threaten government employees & take government property, then yes you deserve the book being thrown at you.

Crazy case. The dude threatened his son, saying traitors get shot if his son turned him into FBI. His son had already told the FBI before January 6th. The day of January 6 he was texting his family that they took over the capitol. Afterwards his son secretly recorded him bragging about what he did at the capitol. His son then turned that audio to the FBI and they arrested his father.

At the trial the son testified against his dad. The dad's brother called the son a snowflake and stood up for his brother.

Plus this Guy dude wrote rebellious letters when he was in jail (which pissed off the judge and made his sentence worse) but wanted to cry when his son testified against him and begged for a lighter sentence.

DOJ wanted 15 years.

I can't blame the daughters for feeling this way about Trump though.
