A regular person’s reasoning why DC movies suck compared to Marvel...

I think it’s universally agreed that DC hasn’t been the same since Christopher Nolan. I enjoyed Wonder Woman & I’ve heard good things about Shazam. As for the other stuff...smh

I think DC is seriously lacking in the character development department. Everything seems so rushed. Justice League was written as if it was supposed to be a 45 minute segment lol

Another reason why Marvel is kicking DC’s ass is Marvel is telling human stories that happen to involve superheroes. DC on the other hand seems so stuck in the old wooden way of telling superhero stories...That’s why Wonder Woman was so charming. WW was an outsider of the world she was dropped in and the humor/drama was consistent in relation to that.

I tried to watch Aquaman after Endgame and it was some bullshyt. The dialogue was cheesy and the direction cliched.

DC shoulda built their characters first then made the team up movie. Nearly everyone has said this countless times. They didn’t have a constructive plan and it showed. With that, I still enjoyed all their movies. I’m an easy pleaser. But I acknowledge they could have done things better.

Nolan didn't make real DC movies, that Nolan and his bro and Snyder were even allowed to work on Superman was the first sign DC U was in trouble.
The only people allowed to have been executives over DCU should have been Bruce Timm and Paul Dini.

they saw what Marvel was doing and the suits tried to rush it which was stupidity. Snyder was building towards the Legion Of Doom. I'm still salty.

BB and TDK didn't elevate the game though, in fact they are quite silly, and when you take such a "gritty" format and put comics in them, it makes them age terrible because the fantasy elements of comics stick out that much more.

Take for instance in BB when he is in a fukking tank and simply cuts the lights off and suddenly the cops can't see him, even though they are behind him. That is so dumb its retarded.

I won't go into it too much, but I will say this, the lack of acceptance of the fact they are working with comic book/ fantasy properties is the thing that killed DC movies, and it starts with nolan and his butchering of Batman with his trilogy and extends to the Snyder desecration of Superman and all that followed from that.

The thing is...Superman wasn’t a bad movie
And I think it’s ok for superheroes to have different interpretations
Dude wasn’t ripping out people’s hearts

People are too strict with their idea of what a character is supposed to be

Had dummies saying the Fantastic Four needs a 60s aesthetic or should take place in the past before all the other heroes
Like that shyt is just window dressing

I don’t want shyt to end up like any of the FF movies but Superman was nowhere near that

People at this point are so used to Marvel movies and I would prefer movies that took a little risk but still kept to a majority of the source material
