But surely there is somewhere on earth with comparable conditions to the early earth.
not really
But surely there is somewhere on earth with comparable conditions to the early earth.
that would be interesting though if something new was created though.
it's hard now (pause) because there's so much competition and niches already filled. if some new form of life was to arise in a pool of goop somewhere, it would probably be eaten right away by an already existing form of life
good point. What about before life got as complex as it is, do you think it's possible for life to have been started more than once on earth.
Also why do you say there aren't any conditions on earth similar to those when life first took hold? All the same chemicals/elements are here, surley somewhere on earth a ratio is similar to that of the early earth can be found. No?
But there are some places on earth that have low oxygen levels, or high whatever else levels that could mimic conditions on early earth.because life has changed earth. for example, the abundance of oxygen comes from plant life
I guess it's possible the conditions could be recreated in the lab, but then you run into the issue of the time scales involved

Some people mentioned thermal vents as a breeding place for life. The conditions around those vents are similar to that of early earth.

Yup. And I'd wager that most people haven't, but it's a key step in our origins in addition to evolution. I don't think we know as much about it as we know about evolution, but, IMO, it's the best explanation for life on Earth.
thermal vents is a hypothesis some people like. one problem with it is how unstable organic molecules are at the temperatures involved
THE PROBLEM WITH BEING A BRAND NEW MICRO-ORGANISM TODAY IS THAT YOU ARE JUST FOOD FOR ANYTHING BIGGER THAN YOU, BROTHER! NEW LIFE FORMS COULD BE HERE, BUT THEY WON'T HAVE TIME TO PROSPER BEFORE BEING CONSUMED BY ALREADY ESTABLISHED SPECIES, DUDE!
Wasn't the early earth hot?
Is life still being created?
First off no trolling serious questions here.
If life was created once on earth, what's to stop it from being created again? Are there any observations of new life taking hold on earth as opposed to life derived from evolution? Could there be an entire non related evolutionary history being created alongside us?
Adam and Eve were the first two of the creatures known as mankind. Thank you kindly.
