Is life still being created?

First off :whoa: no trolling serious questions here.

If life was created once on earth, what's to stop it from being created again? Are there any observations of new life taking hold on earth as opposed to life derived from evolution? Could there be an entire non related evolutionary history being created alongside us?

Not a thing in the living universe evolves, it only attempts to improve its living condition from the previous day.

No answers?:why:

Again I'd like to stress that I am not trying to discredit evolution or make any statements about its validity, nor am I trying to start the evolution vs. religion debate. These are legitimate question that I have. If anyone has any helpful info it would be greatly appreciated.

well i would say that the conditions of the young earth that gave rise to carbon based life dont exist anymore. i cant say that the transition of organic molecules into structures near what wed recognize as life ISNT happening, but eh

type more later when i get to a computer

you mean on a microscopic level? maybe.

Yeah, the same way it was created the first time. I don't see why it wouldn't be, the building blocks are still here so presumably life should be being created all the time.

the building blocks are still around but the conditions of the earth are way different then how they were millions of years ago. Now that life is around it just keeps adapting to the conditions around it.

that would be interesting though if something new was created though.

I know the overall conditions on earth have changed. But surely there is somewhere on earth with comparable conditions to the early earth.

I wonder if there are any studies or evidence on this subject, it's very interesting. What if life was created multiple times and differnet plants/animals come from multiple ancestors as opposed to just one?

I just want to point out that, by the way you're forming this question, I do not think this is an evolution question -- Rather it's a question about abiogenesis. Of course life is still being created, there are new children born every day, we know this. Your question is aimed at whether new life comes about devoid the biological sequence we're all accustomed to. Evolution only addresses the diversity of life after the process of abiogenesis occurs. But to respond to your question ... I don't know, but it's a very interesting one to ask.

:ohhh: I've never even heard of abiogenesis. Thanks for the info

Could be why plants and animals are so different.

They have been finding bacteria in vents below the ocean floor which function completely different from life as we had known it just a decade ago and living in conditions that were thought to be impossible for life to survive.
