Life can get in the way but making small time a day works. I have the book of Matthew by those two verses under my name for a reason. A great start you learn so much. How to properly pray (You don't pray out loud in front of others. You pray in secret). I do an Our Father in the morning, sometime in the day and before I go to bed. Even when I wake up from a demonic dream.My breh, I have become lazy.
Yes you can still pray to God with your own words but know that he wants us to use the Our Father prayer. It literally covers everything we need, it has "us" in it multiple times.
I would still pray for your lost and blind brothers and sisters. Whether that's an intermediate family or not. This doesn't end with you just striving to be righteous. You have to plant seeds like Jesus mentions in one of his many parables.
Jesus lets us know not everybody is going to take it. Family and friends will be dismissive. Don't be like a lot of these hypocrites that talk but don't walk their talk.
