This woman gets a lot of flack from ignorant people...you can be both Dominican and a Black woman.
My issues w/ Hollywood is that Zoe is the default black woman...We are such a multifaceted race of women and I'd like to see a reflection of that in Hollywood...that's why I don't spend my money in the theaters. Actually, Youtube (Issa Rae, Alright TV) shows a multitude of black woman through positive, affirming images, so I spend a lot of time o there.

Haven't seen it...know nothing about it...

But I'll say this, if she was in blackface...it's an affront to black people (i understand actresses need the money and wouldn't turn down the work...but for the sake of authenticity they should)...there are talented women of a darker hue that can play the roles of women who are of the same hue...to me, it's akin to whitewashing...i think Hollywood's excuse for needing a well-known actor/actress to attract movie-goers is BS...but I suppose they see it as a business decision. I make financial decisions not to support these films
