bu bu bu but triple h would bury them all
triple h is "burying" anybody he wants, yr still watching this weekly![]()
One of the biggest myths in wrestling. Mostly IWC nerd and stat geek perpetuated.
As if HHH and HBK didn't put over Benoit at mania, as if HHH didn't put over Batista at mania the next year, as if he didn't put over Cena the next year at mania. Not to mention his homie HBGOAT put over Cena at the mania after that. Paul and the rest of the Kliq is very unselfish on the grandest stage. :smughickenbottom:
They try to say they played politics all the time yet they agreed to assist Taker in his streak pursuits by both putting him over twice each back to back years. You'll never hear Taker disrespect either one.![]()
I don't think there is enough veterans to have a legit Millionaire's Club though. If Bautista HBK and Taker were still wrestling (Taker is pretty much retired too) this would be more realistic. But then again if you add Lesnar to the millionaires side I could see it working. And Ziggler would be on the new breed's side.
Old vets vs young guns doesn't work in wrestling because the mark crowd (and the smark crowd too, to a lesser extent) will always side with familiar faces over newer ones. WCW 2000 didn't work because the "heels" of the story were heel in name only, they never acted like heels or did anything dastardly. The "faces" had the authority figures restarting and changing matches.

Anyway. I'm trying to book a Millionaire's Club out of the current roster and I have:
Cena
Jericho
Orton
HHH
Lesnar
And out of those 5, Lesnar has less than 5 years of service in the wresting industry, and HHH isn't a full time wrestler. WWE's roster is a lot younger than I thought it was.
Indeed, i'm starting to realize this. It feels like Ziggler has been lingering around forever though.
