Neogaf is a trash site for the most part. The hive mind mentality is cancerous and the mods are the ones pushing it. You can't do anything about it because people will accuse you of being racist, homophobic, transphobic, etc. If the mods get a sniff of this you're banned and you can't do anything to dispute that ban.
Now the hypocrisy is apparent because posters (even white) can call the next man a c00n or non white posters can say racist shyt too.
The rules are never consistently applied.
But there's still a ton of great communities and their gaming news is on point.

Even in this post here you are defending neogaf, for the simple fact that you have a connection there. So it's really you getting defensive. I'm just participating in this thread.
As for the coli, this place is full of fukkery, nobody is denying that. People shyt on neogaf because they act like their shyt dont stink over there, and they stifle discourse if you don't share the proper opinions...and it just so happens they harbor and protect pedophiles to boot. I haven't lurked neogaf heavily since about 2 years ago or so, but here is what I know:
Amirox was a mod who a lot of the esteemed members over there knew personally, he has been in a lot of their homes, they hung out offline, etc; for YEARS. Then dude finally gets exposed for being a liar by another member, but does he get banned? Nah, they just take away mod status and give him a funny tag. Then he creates a thread asking for money to take care of his sick mother, he finesses the community out of thousands of dollars, then basically lets out that he spent a large amount of it to go on a drug binge. Does he get banned now? Nah, cause he's Amirox. Posters who would bring this stuff up in arguments with him were often banned, of course.
Now, fast forward a little bit, dude gets exposed as a pedophile....and you can't even talk about it on there. Threads where it was being mentioned are locked, no sticky thread to be found when it's absolutely deserving of one. It's almost like they were trying to keep it as hush-hush as possible, and trying to keep as many people as they can in the dark about it. The owner of the site trying to say he never even knew Amirox real name which is a lie cause his real name was all over the donation website and he gave him $1000.....breh, something funny is going on over there, there's no two ways about it. If you can't see why or how this is shady as fukk I don't know what to say.
You also can't compare people on here creeping on their cousins to people over there talking about having wild sex with their siblings. You just can't. I don't even like @Swagnificent as a poster but that's just facts. Also, I may be wrong but aside from a few, posters here don't really cavort offline like that to the extent that they form relationships. When you look at what came about from one of their most popular members, who was undoubtedly being protected for so long until it just wasn't possible anymore, it makes you wonder what's going on behind the scenes. So with all due respect, don't waste your time asking me stupid questions, you should spend some time investigating the true nature of neogaf.
