i dont think kendrick could do anything like this vs any other target drake was an easy target
he wasnt american, didnt have a city behind him, anyone else woulda had texas, new york, atlanta or florida behind them, and he had a bunch a vague things that could be easily blown up
and kendrick is a nikka who been in the house for a decade so there was no way to make a valid response to him that would stick
he barely does anything outside of being quiet
drake shoulda just ignored this nikka in hindsight no one was even thinking bout bruh like that u revived his career and made him more popular than he ever was every drake hater gravitateded to his streams
at his heights he never got streams like this shyt is insane
“Revived his career”:mjtf:

Kendrick ended the highest grossing rap tour of all time (at the time) three days before “like that” came out.

Off a diss track? To another one of their own artists? Lemme ask u a question. When is the last time u seen anything remotely similar? lol.
We’ve never seen a diss track get nominated like this, so this is a first.

The head of a studio being happy that one of its artists winning two of the big three awards at the Grammys isn’t new.

UMG was all throughout that shyt. He was on some :blessed:all night. He supposed to sit there with the :francis: because Drake don’t like the song?

(UMPG) songwriters contributed to six of the eight nominations in the Song of the Year category: “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” for Nevin Sastry, “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” for Billie Eilish, “Fortnight” for Taylor Swift, Post Malone and Jack Antonoff, “Not Like Us”for Kendrick Lamar, “Please Please Please”for Sabrina Carpenter and Jack Antonoff, and “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” for Raphael Saadiq.

UMPG writers also contributed to six of the eight nominees for Record of the Year: “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM”— Beyoncé (Raphael Saadiq), “Espresso” — Sabrina Carpenter (Sabrina Carpenter), “360” — Charli xcx (Cirkut), “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” — Billie Eilish (Billie Eilish), “Not Like Us” – Kendrick Lamar (Kendrick Lamar), “Fortnight” — Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone (Taylor Swift, Post Malone, Jack Antonoff).

In the Album of the Year category, UMPG represents three of the main artists nominated (Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift), and also represents a nominated artist/songwriter/producer on five of the eight albums selected. Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone are this year’s top UMPG nominee with seven nominations each. Tied with six nominations are UMPG stars Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter.

Word. He has been spotted at a few ceremonies already... it's like asking the champions league president not to attend the world cup :russ:

I read the lawsuit.
They pay for these, like we thought.
Future and Metro should have won.
Grammys dont matter, yall celebrating like he really won. UMG gave him the grammys in spite of... lmao...

Regardless. It still proves Kendrick is every much as industry as Drake. Everybody screaming pedo lyrics like a party at the fukking Grammys is wild af. lol. And u right. A diss track never won a Grammy. It’s the most mainstream pop diss record of all time. I will tell u this much. This basically put the nail in the coffin for any mainstream rapper wanting to battle on wax. nikkas ain’t gonna wanna open themselves up to all that.

1) he really won, no debate about this
2) Future and Metro never had a chance in any category. They never had the biggest song in any song category, and they didn't have the best album in the rap category.
3) UMGH can't pay, when you know how the grammy votes work, you understand it's just impossible.

Kendrick destroyed the boy despite the industry being against him when it all started. We remember all streamers riding for Drake, and also publications such as Billboard saying Drake was gonna win regardless.

And despite all of that, Kendrick still bodied the dude like he was fighting a child :blessed:

He made it so undeniable that the whole industry had to switch side :blessed:

Drake has to be feeling some type of way watching his peers sing those pedo lyrics about him on national TV. That was next level embarrassing. Curious to see how this affects the way he interacts with other artists moving forward.

nikkas act like that never happened. People were roasting Kendrick during those 17 days. AK started a no response countdown.

And not just AK. All major publications were saying Drake was still gonna win because he was the more popular artist :russ:
Kendrick really had to crush it numbers wise too, which he did with NLU
Also had every imaginable streamer on the payroll :dead:
