Remember that interview Jay and Nas did with Sway, can y'all imagine Drake and Kendrick doing a joint interview.

"Family Matters was the figure 4 leg lock..."

"And then I dropped Meet The Graham's and Not Like Us"

"Ha ha ha ha ha aaaaaaah, yeah... and then I sued UMG for promoting the record"

"And then it won 5 Grammy's and rocked out at the Superbowl "

Naw. It’s over for Drake. It’s been over. It was over last year. Drake knows that too. Kendrick essentially made Drake “uncool.” That’s the biggest commodity any rapper has, and once that evaporates via a rap battle (or any other means)—you don’t get that back. No rapper has ever became “cool” again after being made “uncool” on a broad-level.

It’s why I never understood why people thought Drake would still be able to just go about his career after Kendrick decapitated him. Rap has never really worked that way.
You forget that the majority of Drake fans are female. He captures that audience like no other male rapper has, That's why he was on top so long. Should've stuck to making IG caption songs for them.

And we all know Drake is a "pop star" as opposed to a "rapper"

Kendrick really turned Drake into Meek Mill. That fanbase had all that smoke for Meek and don’t know why they’re so blindsided by this Kendrick onslaught

Just now seeing that goofy haircut….this weirdo didn’t even have his fro tapered

He was never like us…

Women are human too. It’s still boils down to the appeal, the cool factor, etc. That’s what rappers mainly export. For most people, even if you fukked with Drake’s music in 2023–there’s no reason to go to a Drake concert in 2025 or something. You can’t get any cultural/social capital going to a Drake concert in 2025. You can’t post that on your Insta as a woman and have other women like, “OMG! I’m so jealous!” in the comments. I’m talking about basic sociology. Drake is not fashionable anymore on that level.

In the 50+ year history of rap, no rapper has ever been made a “lame” by another rapper and then somehow returned to being perceived as cool. It’s never happened. Not once. It’s even more dire for Drake because while other rappers have been framed as sell-outs, inauthentic, etc., he stands alone as the rapper categorized as someone with colonial sentiments towards black people. Like, how are you supposed to perform Rich Flex in concert after this dude has convinced a significant portion of the world that all you do is extract and insert poisonous elements into the culture?

It’s over for Drake. It’s been over. Drake will always have his super diehard fans, but the days of him being the “guy” are over.

Drake is highly aware of this too, hence the lawsuits and him going on streams with white supremacists, such as Adin Ross.

He had a good run, though.

There’s no way Drake ain’t pillow fighting the air right now. Legendary L. :dead:
Drake’s team keeps him living like the boy in the bubble, that’s part of the reason he filed the lawsuit he really doesn’t believe “Not Like Us” made the impact that it did cause they’re keeping him shielded so he can’t
