Good point I see how you're trying to angle this. The only clear cut solution to this method would involve cutting ties too "multiculturalism".
TJ Holmes used address issues in the black community, without coming off like a "c00n" until his show was cancelled.

Like I mentioned earlier, shows that educate / inform people, usually struggle to flip a profit and get pushed under the rug, with the quickness. Whereas more appealing and rancid activities get endorsed with open arms. But this is more of a societal issue at large rather than solely just another step in the anti-intellectual forum pertaining to the black community. Most people rather watch the MTV's The Jersey Shore over PBS's Nova Science....
I can't really speak on this. I've never had the "privilege" of living around a large enough group of homogenous minorities, whom roam the street looking for trouble.
That said while, I don't "condone" various aspects of thug culture, the transaction between music and reality tv is simply a case of supply and demand. People need that "ignorant sh*t" to vicariously live through others to fill a void in their life(w/e it may be) and TV Networks supply them with it.
Once again, my opinion is merely anecdotal. All the black people I know are working / in school and are hungry for success. None of my peers, are "lazy" bums who sit on their ass all day smoking bud, waiting for the 1st and 15.
His argument is pretty much the same
age old argument that blacks are a bunch
of malignant sloths whose only purpose
is to grow fat off of the government and murder
each other while blaming it on whitey.
It's literally like he read some white supremacist
literature and came to the conclusion that this
was ground breaking and "new".
shyt is several decades older than he is but he's
to stupid to realize it
(most likely over a century older
than he is
)
Ok that's fine. So then I guess black america has the #2 violent crime rate in the world. That's nothing to applaud.
I'm sure they have their reasons for their people being violent. I'm pretty sure its because they have a violent culture. If you look all over the world at poor people, you don't see poor vietnamise or poor china people with the kind of violent crime like we have.
And as for crime rates being higher in the U.S., thats only because we send people to jail for drugs more than any other country. I'm talking about violent crime. Blacks are responsible for violent crime in this country because of their attitude.
Your sweeping generalizations and assumptions will not
and cannot do shyt to fix any problems apparent in lower income black
communities, and propping up racists who have a hatred of
people of color because they believe that blacks don't care
about black crime is ignorant.
There are many community leaders you'll never hear about
that CAN and DO put in work.
You're from southern california (I know this brah, no
point in fronting) if you're really about this revolutionary
life then :
http://www.streetgangs.com/resources/programs
Check out those anti-gang groups and see if you can volunteer
Also before you ask yes, more than a few of these organizations
have black leaders.
You're also lying there are many violent poor communities.
shyt some of them reside just south of the border, I don't think
people in El Salvador are to fond of MS-13 raising hell in their
cities (where again there is no Hip Hop
or Al Sharpton,
or Jessie Jackson....)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_El_Salvador
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_Honduras ( apparently
has the highest murder rate of any nation
)
FromWiki said:
Poverty, gangs, and low apprehension and conviction rates of criminals contribute to a high crime rate. There have been reports of men carrying firearms and machetes, which has led to violence several times
Two gangs Barrio 18 and Ms-13
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/18th_Street_gang
and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS-13
And crime rates aren't only higher because we send people to
jail for drugs they're significantly higher per 100,000 people
for just about everything from murder to robbery.
This is because America has it's own issues and many
of them spawned long before Hip Hop was a scapegoat
way back when 10 of thousands of people were losing their
lives to street violence, drugs were more rampant,
and urban decay had already taken hold.
