A little Information for Brehs Considering Getting a Vasectomy.

Got it done this morning, felt light-headed during the procedure, but nothing too serious, pain was kinda bad a couple hours after but is way lowered now.

Not even noticeable.

My advice if you don't want your lady to know is to plan the actual procedure when she's away for three or more days. Just because recovery is fast but somethings you won't be able to hide like blood leaking from the incision in the shower, swollen scrotum, walking funny for a few days, you can hide your pain meds but it's a chance she might find them. Or you can take off a week and book a hotel, airbnb, or something just so you can heal.

Mine was done in three steps the initial doctor visit, the actual procedure, and the follow up.

The first visit is to meet the doctor let him/her look at your junk to see if he's comfortable doing the procedure, second is the actual vasectomy, and the follow up is to see if you healed up ok. Can look for highly rated Doctors in your area online.

Edit- Each time you visit the doctor I would recommend you trim you pubic hairs if you dont already.

The doctor I went to had like a chair you would see at a dentist off and reclined it a bit and had me drop my pants and he did his work.

@Swirv Also another thing I just remembered if you don't want her to know tell your doctor if he uses metal clips not to use them. I heard a couple stories of dudes setting metal detectors off because of the vasectomy clips. Have him use electrocauterization to seal the tubes rather than clips. Sounds like a fancy word but it's just a tool that looks like a pen and produces heat hot enough to burn the incision wound shut.

She’s away for at least another month with family. Tomorrow I’m calling my Dr. for the referral. I’m def doing no scalpel.

How long after your initial consultation did you get the procedure? I’d prefer to do it the same week, is that possible?

A couple months. Of course scheduling depends on the office and how busy they are monthly.

Also a big thing is once you get it done you're still fertile for like 2 to 3 months because some sperm is stored away and you either have to ejaculates all of it out or wait for it to reabsorb into your body. You can get test done through LabCorp or Quest Diagnostics. They got two versions the first test is to detect any sperm at all the second test give you the actually sperm count they detect in your sample. The first is cheaper and the second is more expensive and I think sometimes the office want you to call in before ordering the second test for whatever reason. I got the first test I literally just booked my appointed lab tech gave me a piss cup and I went home bust in it and dropped it back off to the lab tech. A week or so went by and got my results via email/portal.

Having lab results are good I think you can use them in court if someone tries to say you got them pregnant you got the test to prove you're infertile.

Probably going to be an uber situation. Part of the reason I’m not saying anything is because she doesn’t think I’ll do it.

I’m hoping they’ll expedite the procedure because I have 4 kids already.

Naw. It doesn't affect the volume or viscosity of your nut. You just won't have little tadpole mfers in it anymore.
