If things get too bad we may all have to hit the streets. But I agree this country won't change until white people (in large numbers) want it to. For too long black people have been the only group that consistently keeps this country from descending into fascism. We got fukked over by almost every group in November. Let these other groups put their bodies in the streets. Perhaps we'll join in if its truly sincere. In the mean time we need to fix our personal finances, get those passports, and protect our communities.

Every community of black people across the country needs to do what these brothers and sisters are doing in Lincoln Heights, Ohio right now.

We WILL have to be involved in this at some level, at some point, obviously.


The point is these other races are too accustomed to sitting back and waiting to see what Black ppl are going to do. They need to put some skin in the game and come to the realization that we ALL need to fight for EVERYONE.


White folks have been marching and getting in politicians faces at these town halls and not one of them has been touched.
The police haven’t been going crazy on them because there aren’t a bunch of Black ppl in those crowds.



All hands will have to be on deck for this shyt to end, but White ppl need to get this shyt popping. Not us.

They were ok with this shyt as long as Blacks and Latinos were the ones feeling the pain. When enough of them feel it and realize they are in the same boat…then we might see something

So let me get this right. Yall were unwilling to even pretend you wouldnt vote,For leverage purposes in order to bring Democrats and white liberals to their senses. Knowing that they needed our vote to win.


But yall are willing to "sit out" in a protest,as a method to bring white people in this country to their senses NOW. Believing in some magical scenario where non blacks get out there to protest and say "Wait,we cant do this without black people yall"


Thats fan fiction,they do not need black people to protest. In fact they are more credible as protesters if we dont show up . Whats not fan fiction is that white liberals and the Democrats needed us to win that damn election.


Then alot of you actually believe we are #TheKey when it comes to protesting and marching. But when I said we were #TheKey to winning elections in this country I was mocked and pebbles were thrown. Just goes to show how black people see themselves in this country. We see ourselves as damn footsoliders who can take a mean baton to the skull and keep ticking. But dont see ourselves as a group who can truly be impactful and savvy politically.

You make a very good point. Yet in authoritarian regimes, most protests are spontaneous (i.e., Turkey and Hungary now). If there are too many planned protests, and fewer and fewer people show up, it makes the resistance look weak.

Success begets success. We must plan wisely, not reactively.
