"the city left me alone because they saw I could be special and bring glory to the city"
He's being arrogant while trying to be humble.
We don't need another reason to hate on dude. If you loved Akron as much as you claim you'd never left and cause a circus.
He's a heaux
My dude how old you and what's your race?
I only ask because YES in the past and as a COMMUNITY we would look out for those we saw "with special talents(sports related)", someone who could do something special FROM the area, those who we knew wasn't street, elderly, women and kids...I know now all we see is crabs in barrel and every "human(sadly, this includes the elderly, women and kids)" for themselves in the hood today which has crushed the AA communities...but it wasn't always like that which is what he was referring to when he said "the city left me alone because they saw I could be special and bring glory to the city"...basically saying there were opportunities for people to pull him off course but they didn't because of what they saw in him....and he has showed why as a community we need to get back to that mentality because of everything he has done for NE Ohio, including his beloved Akron...
