How would he be in LeBron’s shadow coming off an NBA championship of that magnitude? To win Toronto it’s first title and be one of the primary reasons the Lakers return to prominence would raise Kawhi’s profile to ridiculous levels. Not to mention, LeBron is getting older and Kawhi will surely be taking the reigns as the 1a of the group.
Makes just as much sense to leave as it does to stay.

Weird guys like Kawhi that march to the beat of their own drum. Not to mention, it’s not as if LeBron (and potentially AD) isn’t a winning formula. If Kawhi feels like he did right by the Raptors by winning a championship why wouldn’t he be comfortable with going back home to LA like he originally planned.
