From what I've heard, Ryan West's role on the team has decreased over the past few years now that we aren't hunting for players in the draft. He prolly wanna be GM and he knows that'll be a long time coming in LA especially if we win in the next few years because Rob's security would only get stronger.

Would’ve been nice to just promote Rob to POBO and Ryan to GM. He’s done enough work to prove he’s an asset imo. Jesse and Joey can still have input regardless of position.

So Cal
Yeah when was the last time a Lakers team overachieved/played to their potential?

Maybe 2012? When we were washed but somehow got the third seed :heh:
I gotta say 2010. Lockout season was trash. 2012 Kobe singlehandedly lost the okc series and the nba had them playing back to back playoff games shyt. I'm pretty sure that shyt ain't happened since.

Every year after had been injury riddled.

Rob wants to run his own show.....no point to promote Ryan to GM cuz Rob wasn't gonna listen to him anyway probably.

Ryan West's chance was when Jim was fired. Mitch to PBO and Ryan to GM would've been the stable move. When Magic/Rob got hired Ryan shoud've just left then cuz it was over for him at that point.
