IF AD has an MVP type season and leads the Lakers to a 1-3 seed and can turn up in the playoffs that will shift opinions but i don tthink he is better right NOW.

Kawhi is coming off a great season and finals MVP and i agree with you he got carried to the finish line by his team but i gotta see AD start leading a team...He needs to have more than monster numbers...id like to see him assert himself late in games as the go to guy on the team...

having 2 more shooters on the floor with you should raise that % quite a bit.

That Toronto squad used to get clowned on the regular for being habitual chokers and never going as far as they should. Kawhi took them places Demar couldn’t

And the warriors beat the Rockets and Portland without KD.

Kawhi also led a Spurs team to the WCF and was beating the warriors black and blue before Zaza injured him.

it's more proximity effect than actual season long input..
AD was having a monster season and then was semi shutdown....
toronto had a great season with or without kawhi...

people are just enamoured with kawhi right now..and the press is helping a lot...wait till next season and we will see who really is better... my money is on AD, i think his FG% jumps to 55% and more if his shoots less than 20 attemps

like i said.. the first three rounds.. kawhi had an EPIC and grandest play off performance...

but as a full season.. AD did better many times....however in the finals.. kawhi was pretty much handled by GSW... save the free throws... dude got locked....

honestly.. i think PG might have a better season than him(again)

their is no way i will use 18 games to decide one player is the best in the world... give me two seasons at the top minimum...

He missed 22 games and Toronto was 17-5. All I hear is AD is injury prone yet no one states Kawhi sat out a season then 20+ games this year and still ended up gimpy in the playoffs.

You are also comparing last years team to a team that now has a Siakam coming into his own.
