So basically we wanted Monty because we felt Lue would be giving Bron too much control......and end up with Lue anyway :mjlol:

Monty chose Suns over us :mjlol:

The sight of Monty Williams landing in Phoenix as the Suns’ new head coach has left many with the impression that Williams chose a job with the Robert Sarver-owned Suns — who have been mired in their own non-playoff misery for the past nine seasons — over the opportunity to coach LeBron James in L.A. Another popular takeaway: The Lakers’ looming hiring of Tyronn Lue means they’re settling for their fallback choice to replace Luke Walton. The reality is that neither of those perceptions are accurate.

Basically the notion that Monty chose the Suns over the Lakers is false according to Stein. He says there were people in the organization that wanted Lue and felt the best to get the rest of the staff on board was to wait until Monty got a job elsewhere, and that follows what Brad reported that we didn't speak to the candidates for a week after their second interivews; we were waiting for Monty to get taken so we could default take Lue.

What if there’s an elite coaching staff around him and a better roster?
Maybe.
I guess it depends too if Lebron can repair his relationship with the locker room. I dont know if there's a coach out there besides Pop to tell Lebron to shut up for a minute.

Maybe I’m naive, but I think this nightmare season might’ve humbled this nikka a bit. I don’t think the locker room issues are as big now especially considering the chaos in the front office.

Its embarrassing to see what the Lakers have become under Jeanie Buss. :scust:

I swear to God the 6ers need to spend a few dollars and get a G-boost from 2K. Theyre playing in slow motion.
