I MEAN ITS PRETTY OBVIOUS WHAT HAPPENED

IF U REALLY WANA BELIEVE HE DIDNT COME HERE ONLY BECAUSE WE DIDNT TRADE OUR ENTIRE TEAM FOR HIM, THEN THATS YOUR PREROGATIVE....

BUT ITS FAR LESS LIKELY THAN HIM BEIN HURT BECAUSE HE WAS NO LONGER GOING TO BE OUR CORNERSTONE LIKE WE MADE HIM BELIEVE BEFORE LEBRON TALKS HEATED UP. TO ME, THATS JUST COMMON SENSE.

none of them want to answer what they think PG would've done if he didn't like playing with Russell.....

If PG hated playing with Westbrook, would he have signed to play with Bron on the LAkers, or would he have signed with a different team?
I believe he would have signed with LA. That was the risk that LA was taking, they were hoping things didn’t work out and from the outside looking in, it didn’t work out but he enjoyed his time there and they had potential. If PG got traded to the Hawks for example, LA would have been in a good spot because PG most likely wouldn’t have held that against them due to his limited options in free agency. He could have still been bitter but looked past it and still sign with LA.

2018 vs Jazz:
Gm 2: 6-21 fg
Gm 6: 2-16 fg

2017 vs Cavs:
Gm 3: 10-28 fg
Gm 4: 5-18 fg

2016 vs Raptors:
Gm 3: 6-19 fg
Gm 4: 6-16 fg
Gm 6: 5-14 fg

2014 playoffs:
P.George shot sub 40% in 9 out of 19 playoff games

2013 playoffs:
P.George shot sub 40% in 10 out of 19 playoffs games

2012 playoffs:

P.George shot sub 40% in 7 out of 11 playoff games

2011 playoffs:

P.Goerge shot sub 40% in 3 out of 5 playoff games.

Listen. PG is a fantastic all-around player who fills up the box score. However, he's a very inconsistent shooter during the playoffs.
These numbers mean nothing without context. He’s a high volume three point shooter which means lower FG% and in Indiana those were defense first squads. And a lot of those series were against defensive oriented teams.

Why are you posting numbers from 2011 and 2012 when he was young and Danny Granger was still the man. PG got some great playoff moments how is he a choker?

Game 4 against the Cavs he choked. Game 6 against the Jazz he choked. Those are his last 2 close out games and that’s 2 years in a row

5-21 against the Cavs
2-16 against the Jazz

Combined 7-37 his last 2 close out games. So how exactly is that not choking? This is recent data bruh. You can’t have the moniker playoff P when you don’t show up in the most important games.

Fair point I guess. PG also brought up Bron's name out of nowhere during an interview to say he's hard to play with but I guess Bron being on the Lakers wasn't in PG's mind at all

Lebron has won 3 Championships and made 9 finals appearances. However, he choked in the 2011 finals........P.George and R.Westbrook choked last season against the Jazz.

Just reading that, it was a compliment to Lebron. He was defending Westbrook, he said yea some people have a tough time playing with Russ but people also have a tough time playing with Lebron and he’s the best player in the world. Essentially using Lebron to say you can have a tough time playing with anybody, even the best player. That doesn’t really support the whole he didn’t want to be here cause of Bron.

Bill Oram in The Athletic chat he has going right now said Pelinka burned a lot of bridges around the league when he was an agent and it's coming back to haunt him as LA's GM. People do not like him.

Also said Magic is barely around the team facilities. :dead:

Do you think they replace Pelinka? Since the Pelicans FO didn't want to deal with him, does he have much respect around the league?

@Arthur M. The second part of your question is fairly astute. Pelinka burned a lot of bridges as an agent and it seems those issues have followed him onto the team side.

How involved is magic in the day to day operations? There’s been some reports that he shows up one or twice a month.

@Kavan K. I have been told by countless people that Magic is, um, an irregular presence at Lakers headquarters.

I don't doubt it but I don't think that it plays a big part. At the end of the day, we're the Lakers, teams have no incentive to help us whether it's Pelinka or someone else. Our only shot at improving the team is internally and free agency. Trades are out of the question.
