He could have just lost his footing, while trying to avoid the defender. The thing is they called it down on the play so unless he saw indisputable evidence to overturn, he shouldn't have overturned. But I still don't think its as egregious as the other shyt, you can't see the defender touch BJG so to him it looked like he just tripped on his own.

He loses his balance at the very second dude swipes at his foot
I've watched a ton of him from his Patriot days, and this isn't true.
He didn't lose his footing, tho. His footing is fine. You can see the trajectory of his foot get fukked up as dude swipes at it, that's what causes him to lose his balance and start his fall. Now you could argue that although dude missed with his swipe, BGE was expecting contact and thus tripped himself up, but that would mean BGE has X-Men mutant level reflexes cuz that's was all too fluid.

That's all speculation, you can't use that in replays its only what you see. And the ref didnt see the defender touch him in fact nobody did [unless there's another angle of the play that was shown].
In fact he could have stepped over the defenders hand, I know plenty of times Ive stepped over something w/o touching it and still tripped just off the anticipation of hitting it.
