JUCO Highlights. He looked like a man playing HS kids, and he was recruited by Rutgers he just didn't want to stay in NJ.
JUCO: All-State, 10 interceptions, 20 tackles, 1 fumble recovery for a touchdown. Third in the State in interceptions (New York). HS: All-State, First Team All-Conference, Most Valuable Player
1st thing everybody looks good in highlight tapes. 2nd he is decent but definitely not FBS material. I admit I didn't watch all 9 minutes (watched 5 mins) but he used the bail technique on almost every play at corner which usually means zone coverage more likely cover 3. He is high in his backpedal, which means it would be hard for him react and filp his hips when the wideouts change directions, which means they would kill him on double moves since he plays so high.
Being "recruited" is a term a lot of people use but it doesn't mean you really are. My ex girl's brother was the starting safety for his high school who went to the state championship game and lost. She kept telling me that he was getting "recruited" by North Carolina and Clemson. So, I asked her did they offer or just send him letters? She said they sent him letters. I was like needless to say he payed for school and didn't play football even though he was "recruited"
Now, I understand this may not apply in the situation but coaches usually send out letters to HS coaches to list there top Jr. and Sr. guys then once the coach sends them out to the program then the football program will send out letters to those players some of them are serious prospects some won't step foot on a collegiate football team. One, thing is for sure though all of them think they are getting "recruited" because they got a letter simply not true.
