I watched it & it actually makes sense but if this was the case, a sequel wouldnt be possible.

Yea i never saw either but after watching this it makes me not want to watch it even more and I just wanna know how's there a part 2 and what happens
1 is a personal classic to me just off the fact that it changed the game
It's a lot of info/evidence to try and point up but I'll try to give some cliffs on what I can remember off the top.
- Initial concept of the movie had Josh being Heather's Ex, from her journal entries used in the marketing they obviously have some history and what seems like tension.
- She doesn't know Mike at ALL, yet he decideds to spend a week helping her film in fukked up conditions for free as a sound engineer.
- Heather is initially in charge of the map until Mike...someone who admits he can't read it somehow gets a hold during the night and kicks it into the creek...for shyts and giggles?
- She get's suspicious of the change in their behavior several times after the map is out of play. She remarks how she's skeptical about weather they are sleeping through the night for some odd reason with all this crazy shyt going on.
- Heather's survival training tells her to keep going in one direction til the guys decide they wanna do the opposite, they don't even give her an explanation as to why, they end up leading the party into the cabin that they know well enough to walk/run around in, in the dark.
- How in the fukk did someone find the footage without running into the witch?
From what I understand the new one is more of a soft reboot/remake that ties itself to the first, technically making it cannon while book of shadows is not.
That would should have been the push for this sequel..but too late.

The people in Blair Witch 2 didn't think there was a witch either.
Clearly the witch cast a spell on the men and fukked their mind up.
Never saw the 2nd one but apparently it's not cannon.
I just know that now that I'm kinda watching it in my head and more so focusing on how suspicious the dudes are acting rather than looking out for some super natural force to appear, it feels a lot more real.
Literally the only interesting thing about Blair witch is the mythology.
To remove it would be stupid as fukk

You don't have to take away the mythology though. If you tell me we gon go look for Slenderman in the woods for a week and I decide to slit your throat and blame it on him while we out there the mythology doesn't disappear.
