read this yesterday - very good read. i have to sing (scream) onstage and working on it to take care of your voice and body is important. drake sings live really well in a big arena which is 10 x harder than a small club where i have seen numerous rappers sound![]()
A lot of entertainers really think that microphone is more powerful than it actually is and they end up sound real terrible live. And you can actually notice it from their demeanor; 'cause aggressive performers (rappers) will bust their v-chords sounding like they trynna lose their voices on purpose, and softer performers (r&b nikkas) will get overwhelmed by the instrumentals and struggle to sound anything like what they put on record.
The worst part is that struggling with the vocal chords takes a toll on these artists in the place. You can feel their confidence waining while they try to look like they having fun up on stage. I went to a show last month, it was Ty Dollar $ign's tour for his new mixtape...that shyt was horrible breh. Homie's voice was just all over the place 'cause he had no control over it whatsoever. I was gonna blame the weed distracting him from doing what he supposed to do, but it wasn't just that.
