if only nyc would of stood behind flatbust zombies , vinny chase and bodega bamz back in 2012 :yeshrug:
Flatbush Zombies are doing shyt the right way. As far as I can tell they're 100% independent. Released the album through their own label and sold 28,000 it's first week. Compare that to Schoolboy who's on a major and has a radio single with Kanye and just did 70,000 first week.

The music doesnt do anything for me, but thats nothing new with most of this 2016 stuff. My question is how did he get on / catch on? Who put him out? I'm curious how these new cats are getting the momentum. I seen this breh was opening for Lil Uzi over the summer

He caught on organically in the streets of the Bronx mostly with the youth. A lot of street marketing and social media shyt like asking for shares and comments in order to release new songs. He connected with females immediately because of his singing and subject matter. He had been touring colleges opened up for Bryson Tiller at my school.

Don Q been on the scene battle rapping, the label was started by some High Bridge dudes QP and Bubba they are the ones financing the movement and one of them literally just graduated last year from college with a business management degree. They came up real fast and are all young dudes.
