You don't understand. It's about building a culture. We already know the players don't respect Hornacek, he's a soft cac. D-Rose no showed a game last year because he benched him, D-Rose calls out Knicks defensive schemes, Hornacek calls KP a p*ssy and KP no-shows exit meeting, you already know its no love lost between Melo and Hornacek they had heated verbal arguments. The players don't respect this man like that.
As far as establishing a winning culture you need a coach that is respected and seemingly has a philosophy or vision he wants the team to play with. We do not have that with this guy. Brooklyn sucks, but they have a culture, they have a philosophy they abide by, they respect Kenny Atkinson. They have bought into the system, they run the fastest pace in the league, they take a ton of threes, they scrappy and play hard. You watch them play against us and the ball moves better for them around the perimeter and players are set in their defensive stances. What is our philosophy? The offense was pure shyt today. We have young guys but how can you develop them when you're playing Ramon Sessions and a 24 year old white undrafted PG.
The man is playing Ron Baker over our 8th overall pick Frank Ntilikina. He has a hard-on over this cac Baker because he is a midwestern cac who plays the game "hard" and the "right way" just like him. Baker is getting $9M, we cut much more talented guards in Chasson Randle and Trey Burke. They are out of a job but Baker somehow has one and a pretty lucrative contract at that. Baker is a G-Leaguer not an NBA pro. Hernangomez is playing garbage minutes after being a All-NBA Rookie last year and a walking double double. His rotations are awful, he has never been a strong defensive coach.
The man needs to go, period.
Brooklyn is young and rebuilding but they have a coach for the future with Kenny Atkinson.

Los Angeles is young and rebuilding but they have a coach for the future with Luke Walton.
