Willy is a young player, Enes is in his prime. He was obviously going to get outplayed, Enes is better. He got done dirty and this team decided to try and make the playoffs instead of developing young talent. Now here we are.

Willy is one of the NBA’s many political prisoners and got done dirty after being a walking double double and First Team All-Rookie and a nice showing at the Euro tournaments.

:yeshrug: dudes got caught up in the "we better without melo we making the playoffs" movement

no excuses for willy, son couldnt even outplay kyle oquinn:mindblown:

O’Quinn is one of the best bigs not starting in the A, not sure why some of y’all hate on son. It’s a reason the Warriors want him.

O’Quinn brings some energy and defense and an enforcer quality that Willy lacks. Also, Kyle is our best passing big. He’s on a team friendly deal and is one of our leaders, he was going to play regardless.

Kanter should be moved, but we know he ain’t going nowhere instead we trading the 23 year old on the team friendly deal who is Kanter lite at this point in his career.

willy sucks anyway
only reason dis is even up for debate is because his contract is so friendly

let try and get a first rounder for him and keep it movin

and on the real, willy fukked up his own value by being out played by kanter and o quinn

im pretty sure he took it easy this summer because his starting spot was set in stone

shyt changed when kanter showed up and he wasn't prepared

it is what it is

This post's distance from reality is staggering.

If it was up to me O’Quinn would start and Kanter would have came off the bench like he did for OKC...

"After Hernangomez's underwhelming training camp — during which the Spaniard showed up "feeling himself a little too much," according to a source — he fell out of the rotation and never recovered, amassing 29 DNPs."

"Kim, you should leave him!"

More Knicks psychological abuse.

Being a third stringer behind two good centers, doesn't mean Willy isnt pretty good himself. He doesn't even have a chance to work into a rhythm and still puts up numbers in a short amount of time. Also, he doesnt come in over O'quinn because his skillset atm is redundant since Kanter is here; I could see Willy getting pt over Kylo on a few different teams though.

Willy is Kanter-lite now, but he's shown he can be a significantly better passer, has flashed more range on the offensive end, and is a little more mobile and agile, which gives hope that he can be a decent defender one day. Its not just about his contract, its about taking a chance on Willy ending up a more useful player, because as good as Kanter is, his flaws make it hard to keep him on the floor at times. I do like Kanter though, so I wont be too heartbroken if Willy gets traded, as long as its for good value.

He didn't take it easy this summer. He played - and played WELL for Spain's national team, one of the best in the world.

And you bringing a Stefan Bondy graph - one he's already self-plagiarized - with an anonymous quote doesn't change that.

Beyond that, he shouldn't play ahead of Kanter, who is the better player right now. He just also shouldn't be traded, when the bench bigs have been so mediocre, and you've ruined his value. The idea that they'd get a 1st for him is laughable.

i said trade him for a first rounder or a young player
i didnt say trade him no matter what
lesser players have been traded for first rounders in the past
its not like im asking for a lottery pick

his play in spain means nothing to me, and it shouldnt mean anything to u

kuz was playing like a superstar in them leagues during the summer. we cut him and no nba team signed him
