The Knicks problem is the inconsistent PG play. Jack is washed and Frank ain't ready. Frank isn't the first 19 year old to ever play in the league. Even the one's who didn't make an impact in their 1st year, you could see flashes of what they could become. I don't see any flashes that this guy is the long term solution at PG. A combo guard? Sure. A perimeter defensive ace? Sure. You're main playmaker? Absolutely not! Good court vision, but he doesn't have the handles to get to any spot on the floor at will to maximize that court vision. What PG can yall tell me in history came in with shaky handles and improved it enough to run a playoff team as a starter? I like that he's shooting the 3 ball with confidence. And I don't think Hornacek is telling him not to drive. At best, he's telling him he wants him to primarily focus on facilitating. But young Frank hasn't figured out you can drive AND facilitate off that as well. It's not like he's driving and defenders are keeping him out the lane. He's not even trying. He's picking up his dribble. The few times I've seen him drive it's on the baseline and he's not even looking at the rim. He'll usually be trying to force some goofy, unnecessary pass to KOQ who's trying to establish rebound position and not looking to corral some shovel pass from a foot away that shoulda been a shot. Yeah he's thinking too much but that's the same thing as being scared. If you're playing with confidence and fearlessly, what's there to think about?

Like somebody said a few posts ago (my bad), we need a guard that can penetrate and pass. Why are lobs to our 7'3 unicorn a rare sight? Look what Harden is doing for Capela. Imagine what Kemba and KP could do together. Move Frank to the 2. Frank is a secondary ball handler type. A good fit with Kemba if you need Kemba to get buckets on his matchup. If we can't get Kemba, we're definitely in play to draft a PG like Sexton, another aggressive PG that you can play next to Frank to maximize the things he IS good at.

I kinda knew KP wouldn't sustain his early season output. He's to frail. His ppg has dropped to under 25 and I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up around 21 or 22 ppg for the season. With shytty PGs like the Knicks have provided him thus far, I don't know if he's a true #1 on a contender. :yeshrug:

I would love a guy like Sexton... dude is a gamer... that’s why I’m against just drafting a wing if the best player on the board is a pg...
