people really seem to revel in racisim, I can't live my life like that. I wish I could escape it but it's always in my face, in real life, even on the internet.

I just do my best to separate myself from it.

i never brought the whole "black people can't be racist" thing, because i don't see what advantage black people get out of that definition

using that definition i would have to say that my goal in life is to be racist

Fighting racism doesn't necessarily lead to more racism. Boycotting racist establishments, peacefully protesting, suing for discrimination- none of these things make racism worse. They just highlight it so that it can be acknowledged and addressed. I'm with you on AA and I'm sure there are something the NAACP has done or said that worsen race relations.
I wish this was true. :to:

Boycotting is the best answer IMHO. :manny:

The way those juries rallied around George Zimmerman to get him acquitted, showed me something.

People are going to look after their own kind, I think this would be at the core of this statement.

I don't think there is any single answer (not saying you said there was), but economic empowerment is paramount.

:childplease:And blacks can be and are racist, stop it with the nonsense.

Depends on how racism and power are being defined. I like that you don't cede the language to the left though.

No it's not baseless, humans are dumb and emotion driven animals.
humans only discovered how to harness electricity 200 years ago.
We thought the world was flat,
we thought blood letting was a cure for sickness.
and a million other dumb things in recent history

you really listed beatboxing and playing the cello as an example of intelligence :wtf:

fyi squirrels are not nice, try picking one up and see what happens

Human's weren't primitive before electricity.

i think if a person plays the cello beatboxes graduates from Yale PreMed then- they at the very least aren't primitive.

And according to you Neil Tyson is primitive so y use him to make the point. :camby:

Racism is an us against them attitude.

So this statement is saying, black people need more of that "racist" outlook than being so accepting of everyone.

Those jurors rallied around Zimmerman, and if a black man was paying attention it would be obvious that they were taking care of their own.

So, unity > economic empowerment.

I must say, they keep down playing our plight, while they progress their own. That's why a statement such as, "black man that isn't racist, isn't paying attention.." is so damn powerful.

2013, and dudes are supporting the establishment and cops, while I have friends who got hit with centuries at their sentencing ...racism means saying fukk the other side.

If what is being said is Black people need to be as concerned with their own advancement as others are, I don't think anyone here would disagree. The statement as it stands leaves questions, and could be clearer.

How? That statement couldn't be anymore clearer.

It's natural to have a bias against people who are different from you, especially if there is a history of hate and resentment all ready built in, however as a rational person,(generally speaking since HHL4E is far from rational) it's your responsibility to recognize those feelings and analyze them logically and determine whether those feeling should be applied to the whole group and why?
