That's wack .... was the beads helping her? Instead of taking the beads out should have all dropped out of the competition if they felt so strongly about her competing. Judge who made the call needs to be dead lifted ..... that's a bar

The tweet mentions the crown act, I think that only applies to businesses and federally funded programs.
Not sure if this weight lifting competition would meet that prerequisite.

Beads aren't a natural part of your hair. Not everything is an outrage. As long as none of the white people are allowed to wear hair adornments i fail to see the issue.

Just speaking to the rule in general though, I often see all races of women, during the Olympics at least, who have their hair in a ponytail including black women. I don't know if the same rules applies here. I'm assuming having your hair tied back is cool but beads or decorative clips might be a different matter.
