woman told Memphis Police she was driving in the South Point apartments in the 1400 block of Dewees Street around 10:30 p.m. Sunday when bullets rang out.

Her daughter was shot several times.

The woman told police a man in his early to mid 20s, wearing a navy hoodie flagged her down and started talking to her and another woman.

The mother said she saw the man pull out a handgun, put her car in reverse and that is when the man opened fire.

Police said there were multiple bullet holes in the front passenger window and rear passenger window.
