Outside of my window there is a breeze sending discarded papers and debris around the street. Yet when I put my hand out in the midst of it, I cannot feel this breeze. When I drink drink, no flavor and no sin comes to my senses. When I eat food, I can not feel as though my energy has been replenished. Although I've drank. Although I've eaten. There is a thirst inside of me. A thirst I've not known for many years. A thirst I am not allowed to quench.
