WWE will never be able to have a title match that feels this important and interesting (and can't miss) as this one ever again.
It wasn't just a "this guy is a/my favorite, he deserves the win, I will watch to see if he can win" situation (Bryan in 2013 or even Kofi 2 years ago). It was about the unique possibility of having an unprecedented angle in the company featuring their last legit super star and a fan favorite.
It was the last time a match result felt legit important because the aftermath felt important and intriguing both kayfabe and non kayfabe wise. I think the company is incapable of making kayfabe feel important again.

They really should've let Punk be on the payroll while he defended the title on the indies before his surprise return when WrestleMania season kicked in (maybe post-Rumble).
Yea imagine the “Best In the World” or “World’s WWE Champion” shirts and DVDs they could’ve sold if Punk had traveled the world for months in UK, Mexico, Japan, and indies with the title. Easy money and legendary angle that could’ve lead to a main event Mania payoff for Punk.
