Parents told him to take care of the kids, left and he folded. Seems like he could barely take care of himself.

Was the rent being paid or was the rent not paid because of the pandemic which allowed them to fly under the radar. Sad as hell. Now it just gets worse since the parent go to jail for negligence and the young bols become orphans

Parents should go to jail they should never be ever be allowed to be with these kids again. It’s sad for the kids and they might be split up but the parents didn’t care about them anyways

At 15 I would’ve panicked like crazy if one of my siblings was unresponsive. I would’ve called someone ASAP.

These people waited a whole year? This math ain’t mathing

Lot of things could have happened. Could be illegal immigrants scared of being deported. Or the kid could have had some type of mental breakdown living like that, taking care of his siblings. He may have been unable to call, mentally, until now. I’m not judging him. This is horrific.

Or they knew what the foster care system was like and were scared to call, knowing that’s where they’re going next…
