To make it less convoluted they should have gone with a 15 minute time limit/"best two out of three falls" match and if it is tied or nobody scores a pin by the end of the match then they go to the judges. This rounds stuff just makes things awkward.

Watching Galloway and Sutter lets you see how excellent LU was last night.
No storytelling in this match at all. No obvious heel shyt, not deliniation of power from Galloway over Sutter, no stylistic class. Just a mess.

If they're trying to capitalize on the rising popularity of MMA they're about 3 years too late

The start of the match was a total mess with them actually seeming to attempt to do MMA style for a few seconds. While it isn't the total shyt show I was expecting I don't think it works as a concept.

Idk how I feel about these MMA rules. WWE and TNA got to realize that people still watching wrestling watch it to get away from legit fighting.

I think it could work and it could be a easy way to elevate new talent. I don't think there's a lot of talent in the states that don't really know how to simulate a match with real fighting techniques though. Maybe Matt riddle?
