He was obviously scared of that firepower. Canelo hits hard, man. Way harder than anyone Charlo has been in the ring with. I’m actually surprised he went 12, because he took a lot of big punches. Most fighter aren’t really trying to get knocked out, or go out on their shield or whatever. Their natural self-preservation instinct kicks in. If he opened up, he would’ve got stopped. He knew what time it was. When you fight someone like Canelo you have to be able to back him the fukk off you with threat. He has to at least respect your power or you’re in for a long night. Charlo has nothing for Canelo… never did. If he opens up, he gets Amir Khan’ed in 6/7.
He chose the safer route, and I’m not even mad at that because this fight shouldn’t have even be made from the Canelo side. I’m glad Charlo got a bag, though.
And he has the nerve to call himself a lion? SMH
