Idk man, I see what you're saying, he deserves props for sticking to the plan, but Harrison gave him A LOT of fits, and he needed to get bailed out by Harrison's stamina and chin issues.
Charlo took a lot of good punches from Rosario. Was that necessary? I don't know man. I'm walking away from tonight's PPV liking Mal way more.
I feel you ... in the first fight and against John Jackson activity was an issue. In Harrison 2 they were active and consistently winning the first minute and a half of every round to make Tony put on the gas for the rest of the round. They also went to the body in that fight. Tony admitted in the post fight that he was hurt badly by a body shot. Ppl don’t notice but Mell been hitting dudes with some vicious hooks to the body the last couple fights. Seem like Derrick James honed in on that since the loss.

Agreed. That being said, Mel is the king of 154 and I can't come up with more challenges for him there. He's too well rounded for the rest of the division, but I'm not sure if he wants to go up to 160 yet.
Love that the twins keep finding ways to win, not even on some Wilder shyt. They can be trailing in a fight and still line you up late with beautiful counters.

I think he is with Golden Boy. The #1 contender is a PBC fighter. If Oscar comes back it will probably be for that title. Mell got to take a mandatory next, might be Lubin again.

Ring Magazine giving Charlo the belt may be setting up an event of Charlo vs De La Hoya. The storyline is built in and it could sell with Charlo’s pre fight antics and De La Hoya’s name. But that’s a long shot...
Charlo vs Lubin 2 is more likely and will be another spectacular KO by Jermell. Still would love to see Charlo vs Hurd but he has to fight his way back up and he seems to be taking his time with it.
