*WCW and ECW was no more
*TNA and ROH weren't created yet
* I don't think New Japan was hyped during that time
*Attitude Era just ended so nobody knew what to expect
*Rock just started to do Hollywood movies regularly
*HHH wasn't around due to first quad injury
*Austin was heel during most of this year
