The FT disparity is large and was very pronounced earlier in the game before Brunson started mucking the game up and drawing contact.

Again, Cade had more free throws than Brunson did and some were phantom fouls. Cade is not a player that gets to the line a lot normally.

It’s on KAT to assert himself…Brunson is not going to sit around and wait for that with the game on the balance. As far as I’m concerned we almost stole this game because of him.

I agree with what yall are saying: however you feel about his physicality or lack-thereof, KAT should never have only 2 three-point attempts in a game.

He’s the primary pick setter. His bread and butter is literally catch and shoot, or catch pump fake and drive. Post-ups are secondary/tertiary, and honestly that’s ok.

He’s a souped up Rasheed Wallace on offense. Play to those strengths.

KAT zero shot attempts in the 4th quarter yet people were saying Dray was exaggerating his criticism. If you followed his playoffs tenure with Wolves last year it was very similar disappearing when his team needs him most. He had plenty of opportunities to be aggressive and demand ball in the fourth quarter. Brunson dribbles too much and his flopping looking for fouls disrupts the Knicks ability to run offense smoothly.

Brunson was trying to play hero ball against Schroeder who was trash talking all game to him. The 5 pts in the clutch that decided the game all came from Brunson taking stupid 3pt shot down 2 with a lot of time left.

Knicks defense cannot double Cade because they have shooters that will make you pay any time he penetrates or attacks the basket. THJ and Beasley both play better at home in terms of shooting

If we can land Zion or KD in the off season, they will be the best team on the East. I expect them to win this series, and convincingly. But I also expect them to be trying to find another dominant player if they lose in round 2. They were trying to get Z around the deadline this season, I expect them to chase bro this off season. I also think if they offered Phoenix a good deal, KD would love to come and hoop with Cade.
