8K is all upscaling. The technology for 8K physical media hasn’t even been created yet and the likelihood of being able to stream that much media consistently is a pipe dream right now stateside. 4K will be the standard for at least another 5 years, if I had to guess.
I've seen people saying that if you don't have a 4K TV right now you better off investing in an 8K joint
:win:

Said it's going to be like 1080p vs 720p all over gain, so you better off just doubling up
:wow:

So you don’t think there will be 8k media blus in the future? :jbhmm:
Honestly no.

I live on the bluray and others there also think 8k will be digital only.

Its already happening. Tons of recent movies did not get a 4k disc release but got a UHD digital release. I expect that to happen more frequently.

If 8k does get a release it'll be a lot of upscales.

shyt 4k DIs are barely becoming More common now. 8k DIs idk

Literally came in the say THIS.
All those top 10 countries are the size of a match boxes...
They also are more socialist countries than capitalistic. which means in the US it will be hell trying to make sure all of us get that good of a connection. all the red tape all of the loobyist coming out crying foul if they dont get the contracts to install everything. it has less to do with our size and more to do with with capitalism vs socialism.
