If the country is in bad enough shape, white America will accept a black president. Obama would not have been elected if Bush did not absolutely ruin the budget with 2 wars and the bailouts for these companies that he refused to regulate.

It seems like people get fed up, and moderates flip, even though that first Bush Jr win was questionable with Florida.
There are no current black politicians who have the love that Obama had. The only reason a lot of us showed up to vote in 2020 was to get Trump out. A lot of white men who voted for Obama wouldn’t vote for a black woman, even his wife.
She would have to win those swing states, and I don’t think a black woman could do it.

Obama was a relative nobody. People like John Edward were big names at the time. Obama knew how to talk to these white people. In his book he even talks about how he'd go to these cac towns and hear people say shyt like "yeah I think ill vote for the N' they're still racist, but at the end of the day they they trusted his approach to the economy over the Republicans and cacs HATED Hillary back then.
Trump showed us two good things:
1. American democracy still works. People can still vote for a stupid choice.
2. Anyone with enough drive can be president. Actual experience doesn't matter.
2024 could have a nobody or someone nobody expected come up from nowhere and primary Joe Biden and win. People laugh, but another celebrity president is possible. If it happened once with Trump it can happen again.

I’d really like to see the Democrat celebrity candidate that would win the nomination. The only celebrities I could see getting it are Denzel, Oprah, Tom Hanks, Clooney, McConaughey
