Because videos are suppose to be a representation of an artist vision. It would be nice to know that they had something to do with their official video, which in this situation is most likely not the case. It's not a huge deal but if they are going to lay claim to something that is suppose to be prolific, which I assume was their intention with this style of video and they can't even make an appearance?
- Jay and Ye not appearing is actually 100% accurate. They are going to be safe somewhere far away with the riches that they have been rewarded for pushing the agenda. The youth/young adults of today on the other hand will be out there rioting, frustrated, and on the uprise because we were distracted with celibrity/hiphop and not prepared for what is inevitably going to happen...
BTW, the director Romain Gavras is the same guy who directs most of M.I.A.'s recent videos, like Bad Girls and the one where they were shooting freckled kids in the head.
