It's the food companies. They pay for the placement in stores. They pay to keep certain brands out of stores.Dude going into the supermarket is depressing in itself when you see the vices are cheaper, than the food that's needed to stay healthy.
Almost as if this country wants to create these monsters because it keeps the fast/junk food industry afloat, and medical facilities paid.
Humans are becoming cattle to these suits, and it quite frankly makes me ill to my stomach. Like how you expect a person that's trying to lose weight to stay in shape, when the actual stores that promote healthy eating having Marlo brick prices, versus a local Walmart where the most shytty of foods are marked down and all in the front.

The food that's better for you, if it had better distribution would come down in price. Competition drives price. But if a company isn't profitable enough, they can't innovate the products to make them cheaper. I worked in food before and now I'm in something completely different. If a company has enough revenue, they have ways to adjust the price however they want.
I've learned so much about how they market to people, unless you have a complete aversion to it, they know how to make you buy shyt even if you know it's bad for you.

It's down to a science.
I know there's a self control element too, and in this climate you ultimately only can rely on that.
I'd say it's been like that since the 90's, and believe it or not a lot of it is because Jordan. There have been celebrity endorsers before, but Nike and Jordan was one of the very first marriages of a mediocre product paired up with a celebrity to target a specific demographic.I was telling my son that yesterday because he wanted to pick up a Prime drink, because of the Paul cacs. I had to let him know that it's all in marketing. Of course, it may look tempting because a high-flying goofy promoting it, but are you going to enjoy it?
Of course, he ends up getting it just out of curiosity, and you guess it....he hated it (TBF he picked Lemon lime flavored like come on breh ).
That's one thing I hate about food marketing nowadays, its always this sense of fear of missing out. Instead of it the companies having a wit and some sort of confidence with the food product, they go on this weird "GET IT NOW OR YOU WILL REGRET IT" steez. Its fukking gross.
NikkaIf she don't give a damn I don't give a fukk or whatever Lil jon n the eastside boyz had said
Because athletes are perceived healthy from a young age so they either do want to or don't feel they need to be checked for anything...these fat ass mfers stay in the doctors office so they get treated.I don’t understand how high blood pressure and hypertension are taking out former athletes but 800 lb people keep on living.
U already extremely overweight dealing with everything that comes with that on top of plain ol standard life issues.
…then, have a global pandemic occur.
