The media does code it up between white and black athletes, but as far as public image, I actually think black athletes are in a good place right now, solid B or B+. dudes aren't c00ning or gooning it up like they used to, not as many wild incidents or ambivalent flashiness, and I guess since fashion trends have changed, guys no longer look like "thugs" in their pressers...
I also think the Williams sisters should be mentioned as influential, at least I hope in 10 years when a survey like this is done, they're mentioned.
