To say African monarchs sold Africans into slavery is the truth as a result of a double lie is a correct statement because, the Europeans had conquered South America at the time they came to Africa. They were able to steal gold from South America and thus crashed the price of gold by flooding the market. Which left many African Kingdoms broke because they couldn't sell their most exported goods. This forced many Kingdoms/Tribes to join the slave trade. On top of that the Europeans would provide a rival tribe with guns, and instigate wars with other tribes. While also funding the other side with guns, which created a massive boom of warring tribes and prisons of war.
The whole notion of Africans sold Africans is to exempt the European of blame.
People don't know shyt about African history, but can say Africans sold Africans. :/
