I'm confused, I no longer understand what we want. I thought we wanted to be "humanized" and not seen as "targets". So they had a cookout to hear each other out.. how is that bad? Looks like progress to me.

I'm not saying the problem is fixed but you can be very cautiously optimistic that maybe this could be a step in the right direction in that community.
Maybe this leads to actual hearings and policy change.

And yes, the pictures look forced to me too but maybe they were genuine moments.

1.It's all good will until you ask them why our communities are the way they are. Then they'll point the finger at nikkas and say " it's 2016, slavery and jim crow are over stop blaming us".
2. Being in close proximity to negroes does not rid biases towards us. Darren Wilson interacted regularly with Ferguson residents, which is not a warzone like many others would believe, and called them lazy while knowing nothing about each individual person's life and circumstances.

3. The "hear each other out" thing is rooted in black pathology as to blame for this crisis as well. Which is why we keep seeing these worn out instructional dvd's that tell black people what to do during traffic stops,conversations,etc which is not the reason why we are here. We are here because these cats behind badges are killing nikkas and getting off and the "innocent ones" are like well, you can't judge me, I treat everyone fairly and I don't see color I have black cop friends" and what not.

If you say so. The authority's job as an enforcer of the state is to quell dissent by any means necessary. And making black folks fall for the okeydoke is a time-tested tactic they've done.
