A sport where the object is to inflict injury on someone else and you think this is the vibes :mjlol:

This dude got ejecto seato'd out of his car at high speed but fighting Pac-Man got him so spooky he's walking away from a career payday.

You must been drunk when you wrote this shyt :pachaha:

I don't know about the narrative that "Spence is ducking Pacquiao". Literally it's not true since he signed to fight him. You don't duck a fighter by signing to fight him. So the ducking thing is foolish.

HOWEVER, it's actually pretty common for a fighter, who's not having the best training camp for whatever reasons (physical, emotional or mental) to pull out of their fight citing a false injury.

Obviously it wouldn't be stated that's the reason publicly. But personally I know pro fighters who have done this. They pull out of the fight, get whatever they need remedied whether it's again their mental/emotional/physical and then fight when they're as close to their own version of 100%. One part of boxing is momentum and that starts in training camp. If in ain't there, it's best to pull out then go thru with a fight feeling less than yourself.

NOW, is Spence doing this? I dk. It's all speculation. But I wouldn't be surprised if that was the reason. Happens in the sport of boxing :yeshrug:

So the rumors that Spence was getting touched up in sparring were true after all :ohhh:

Hope he recovers and heals 100% cause retina injuries are no joke. Fighting with that can definitely make you go blind.

Pacquiao got one in his fight with Broner and he said it hurt to blink and open his eyes and at moments it felt like someone was covering his eye with their hand since it was so cloudy and hard to see. People saying Spence is ducking do not know how serious these injuries are and it would make no sense to miss out on a once in a lifetime fight.

At least we will still get Pacquiao vs Ugas instead of no fight at all but I think Pacman wins but retires after this one unfortunately. :martin:

I'm the OG of "147 is overrated talks" lol. I've been saying it since like 2015 on here

I been saying they were bums too. They all ducked each other and when they finally had to face opposition they all crumbled. :dead:

a fighter will look bad in a fight and say he hurt his hands. maybe he did hurt his hands, but you always have to take a fighter claiming injury with a grain of salt.

If the Manny clone tore his retina in training camp , with head gear on, it would be way too dangerous to fight the real Manny and risk losing an eye
People keep bringing up career payday, but getting a savage career altering beating and losing rep in the process ain’t worth the $20-30 mil. Better to be fully healthy physically and mentally and get that same money over the next couple years while maintaining his status

Roach: Pacquiao Pissed Over WBA Taking Title, Big Incentive To Beat Ugas

On less than 24 hours’ notice, eight-division champion, and boxer laureate Senator Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and his Hall of Fame trainer world-famous Freddie Roach converted their training camp, which for the past six weeks had been geared toward preparing for southpaw Errol Spence, the undefeated unified WBC/IBF welterweight champion, to new opponent WBA welterweight champion Yordenis Ugas, who fights out of an orthodox stance.

On Tuesday, Spence was forced to withdraw from his August 21 blockbuster FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View showdown with Manny due to a retinal tear in his left eye. Ugas, who was preparing to make his first title defense against Fabian Maidana in the co-feature of the Pacquiao-Spence card, stepped up to replace Spence and will defend his title against Pacquiao, the previous owner of the same title.

After six weeks of sparring and strategizing in preparation for fighting a lefty, Manny sparred eight rounds with three right-handed fighters on Tuesday. Was it hard to adjust?

For Freddie, this situation is a first.

“Training camp injuries are part of the territory in boxing, though you hate to see a severe injury like the one Errol suffered happen,” said Freddie. “In the twenty years Manny and I have worked together, he has never had an injury that postponed or canceled a fight. That is amazing and a testament to Manny’s skills and conditioning. I have had to deal with opponent changes before but never this close to a fight. We still have two more sparring sessions remaining and though I am concerned, I’m not too concerned. Manny adjusts to any situation. He looked great in sparring on Tuesday.

“I had Ugas winning his fight with Shawn Porter. Ugas goes for the kill right away. He likes to go for the home run when he throws his punches. He would rather win a fight by knockout than on points. There will be a lot of fireworks in this one. It’s a fight, that’s for sure and the fact that Manny had the world title belt he earned by beating Keith Thurman given to Ugas without any warning or due process has given Manny a big incentive to really perform on August 21. I think he’s really pissed at this guy!”

the retina is a sensitive thing..if he is going to come back then dude should NOT rush it

I agree 100%

I remember when they said he was coming back to fight so soon I was like :dwillhuh: :lupe:then I heard it was against Danny Garcia for his first fight and no tuneups:gucci::whoa: and he proved people wrong.

Now with this news of retinal damage, he's saying that he wants the winner of Pac-Ugas, in 2022 and I'm like :dahell::whoa::damn:RELAX, I believe he has the skills and the heart for it, but those kind of injuries are nothing to play with.

Bruh really got no fear in that ring
