Guys like pacquiao and canelo aren't just fighters. They're brands. You can go anywhere in the world and people will know those names. Them fighting on PBC adds value and legitimacy to their network. And let's face it, they're network is not sitting pretty right now. Canelo's name does more for pbc than vice versa at the moment. Same for pac. Canelo did 73k with a guy who has no American fanbase. Without PBC or any major promo. His status is solidified. Even PBC's own fighters go to all of canelo's fights like they're special events
So pac should still be getting a massive payday for ugas. Cause PBC is still using his services. The fight won't generate the same money but why should manny have to foot that bill?....he did his part and delivered on his contractual obligations.
Maybe canelo and Manny shouldn't get 100% but it should still be substantial. I think that was just canelo's first demand. We didn't hear anything about a counter offer. I'm sure that 365 million that dazn agreed to wasn't the first number canelo asked for. He prolly asked for 500 and they agreed somewhere near the middle. But most of these guys don't know they could be getting so much more if they just pressed the issue. That's how Floyd did it and canelo's just following his blueprint
