Boxing has by far the worst and most ignorant takes of any sport. Manny can't make adjustments and isn't intelligent? Juan Manuel Marquez is a B level fighter? God yall say the dumbest shyt.

Point out a fight where Manny made adjustments anytime in his career

that's always been in his weakness his a low IQ fighter, if plan A doesn't work he doesn't have a plan B, that is not an opinion this a fact

You can't talk boxing, I'm no one fans, you're exactly what your talking about

you all emotional invested into these fighters for no reason, and who said anything about Marquez being a B fighter

Manny never made adjustments against Marquez in any of those fights with Marquez, Manny could not adjust to Floyd Mayweather, he could not adjust to Ugas and admitted in the post fight

so what are you bytching about, every fighter has flaws, Manny's flaw has always been his lack of ability to make adjustments during the fight

He actually did adjust against mayweather, it just didn't work. Anyways go watch more of his fights. If you think he just blitzed opponents out of there with no adjustments, you're delusional.

I said point out the adjustment who said anything about blizting his opponents

see you don't understand boxing

he had one game plan against mayweather, what are you talking about, the adjustment is the approach the strategy to what you are doing

not setting up a counter, or a punch

which is what you are talking about with mayweather, where he was never able to land that punch again because mayweather changed his approached to make it impossible, a bait a trap couldn't work because his entire strategy changed to completely nullify that so it wouldn't even be available, that's an adjustment, manny never changed his strategy he doesn't do, and he doesn't get help from roach in that regard either

thats the problem you don't even try to understand boxing

His approach to counter punching the counter puncher was the adjustment. What are you even talking about?

lmao a counter punch isn't adjustment, it's timing

making one read, or successful baiting somebody to land a punch, is not an adjustment

taking away the possibility of the counter to even be an option by changing tactics is an adjustment

an adjustment would be if Tyson Fury started fighting like the second wilder fight in the second half of the first wilder fight, but like most boxers Fury can only make adjustments from fight to fight, he can't do it in the ring during the fight

Very few boxers can make adjustments while in the fight, that's why Floyd is undefeated, he got too many tools he can adjust to any situation

Floyd started the fight with Pacqaio boxing tall behind his jab using his reach advantage, Pac did not make an adjustment, he simply got time the jab and started to counter it, even baiting FLoyd to throw it in round 4 where he was able to land that left hand

In round 5, Floyd made the adjustment and started pressing the action and attacking Pacquaio making him back up, he changed his strategy to not give him time to time his jab, instead of fighting from behind the jab at range, he came pressing the action, putting him on the back foot, everytime pac would try to back mayweather up, he would just tie him up, or pivot around him

manny didn't have an adjustment for that, the fight started one way, Floyd Mayweather made one adjustment, and that's how the fight went until it was over Manny never made an adjustment

I'm wondering why they selected Ugas as a replacement? Dude was too big for Pac to be a short notice replacement.

Should have selected a smaller guy pac could rough up.

  • Both PBC
  • Both welterweight
  • Both at same conditioning and been training in camp for the same date fight (Ugas was scheduled for the undercard)
  • PBC/Watson/Haymon/Pacquaio still wanted the fight to go ahead for financial reasons.

The signs were all there.

Manny looked old and rushed physically in the 12 weeks prior to fight.

Lost a lot on the scales too. Probably the worst condition he's been in for a long time.

Ugas stays training. Exceptional athlete.
