that or a commission wasnt as diligent with checking spence's eyes prior to the danny fight...but all those rumors of sparring partners floating around putting hands on him with that little clip of him catching work...something went wrong

you already know what gym(s) i go to ......gym been full of talk as far as sparring, shyt isn't a fight it is what it is but yeah if you are getting it from multiple guys and getting your retina detached w those big ass gloves and headgear I agree something was very wrong. Yeah i dont think dude just had a detached retina during/after the Garcia fight and didn't know. One of our ammys had it and he def knew the minute it happened flashes of light n partial vision loss. Even if it's not that bad you still gonna see crazy floaters and have discomfort.

James did the right thing though pulling him out fukk whatever bag $$$ shyt isn't worth losing your vision.

truth be told a lot of fighters do keep quiet about eye afflictions...the trainer at my old gym had his career ended with nerve damage in his eye..but it depends if you want that retirement bread how much do they want to gamble...lot of fighters gamble with their eyesight...its one of the things i really hate

Man, you cant just proceed normally with a detached retina lol. Even a half decent optometrist would spot that easily. Symptoms arent anything a person can just shake off either.

im not here to convince you or anyone else just saying how I feel from what I know. Like I said above sparring isn't a gauge for anything but if it's multiple guys saying they got the best of him n Spence is known for how hard in the paint he go sparring there was an issue. Why wasn't this issue present leading up to the Garcia fight or even in that fight??

I don't believe he had the retina injury for Garcia but the NSAC's doctors determined him unfit to fight, they wouldn't clear him.

the reason why i say that is the danny and pac fights were approved by different commissions i believe...some are a little bit more studious than others...im not a big fan of the texas commission lol but its just theory but i also believe even with 18 ozs with headgear on he could pick that up in sparring...its all unfortunate to a guy that i dont think will be 100 percent going into the ring again
